TomTod is a Nonprofit Partner!
TomTod Ideas was selected by Target Circle to be a nonprofit partner from July 1 to September 30.
As a Nonprofit Partner, we are eligible for a grant from Target for at least $500 with the opportunity to be awarded even more with your votes.
How it works
Signing up for Target Circle is quick and easy and doing so allows you to earn rewards and “community support votes” in your account. When you shop at Target, be sure to sign into Target Circle every time you’re at the register.
When you earn Community Support Votes, you can use them to vote for TomTod!
The amount of the grant TomTod receives will be based on the number of votes we receive.
How to vote for TomTod
Tap “Vote for nonprofits.” If you don’t have any Support Votes, the box will say Learn More instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
I see some nonprofits to vote for, but I don’t see TomTod. What do I do?
Target chooses organizations regionally. TomTod is a part of the Akron/Canton/Youngstown region. To vote for TomTod, change the location of your store in the app to one in that region.
Will using votes remove my rewards?
Nope! Using Target Circle gets you rewards and votes to use.
How do I earn votes?
Whenever you shop at Target, be sure to sign into Target Circle at the register. It’s as simple as entering your phone number! It might take a day or two for your rewards and votes to show up in the app. We’ll send reminders to use your votes throughout the campaign!
Will you get my info if I vote for you?
TomTod does not receive any information about voters. Target will let us know where we are in the running near the end of the campaign. We do not have a count of votes until then and Target does not send us names of voters.
Who is TomTod Ideas?
We are a youth development nonprofit working to change the conversation about middle schoolers. TomTod empowers middle schoolers to explore and launch ideas that put empathy and imagination into action to help their community thrive. We do this through Classes, Clubs, Camps, and Collabs.
How much money will TomTod get?
Being a Target Circle Nonprofit Partner means automatically receiving at least $500 at the end of the campaign. More dollars will be awarded based on the number of votes each partner receives. We’re not sure what the top organization will get!
Where will the money you receive go?
TomTod provides all its programming for free to middle schoolers and their families. We are able to provide free programming thanks to our generous supporters. You can make a donation directly to TomTod through our website.
The Impact of your Target Circle Votes
Two years ago Tessa brought the idea of Better Box to Camp What If with the hope to assist those in the community who may be struggling with their mental health. The idea is to have a box full of resources that can be checked out at the local library. These resources will include sensory coloring books, fidgets, professionals’ names and numbers, motivational phrases, and journals that could be taken or written in then left there to show others they are not alone.
During What If You Could, Tessa, Kaelyn, and Delilah continued to develop this idea and created a prototype they pitched to the North Canton Public Library. They are now partnering with Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health who will help them through this process moving forward!
