Grow Your Mind(set)

ADVENTURE INTO A GROWTH MINDSET

One of the most powerful words in the world is YET. The difference between “I can’t” and “I can’t yet” is all about your mindset. It’s not that we are either good or bad at a task (that’s called a fixed mindset). What matters is if we believe we can get better at a task (that’s called a growth mindset).

In a fixed mindset, you believe that you are born with skills/talents and nothing can be improved upon. Alternatively, a growth mindset says that learning and intelligence can grow with time and experience. This may be a completely new concept to you, so dive into today’s Daily Adventure to discover more about why your mindset is so important!

Family Adventure-tivity

One way to instill a growth mindset is by setting goals. Identify one or two goals that you would like to achieve as a household during this time together. Make a fun vision board for your goals or use a SMART goal format to keep things simple, but effective. Write the goal on post-its and stick them to different places around the house, like the bathroom mirror or the refrigerator door, to keep the goal at the top of everyone’s mind!
