Andrew

Camp What If is a week-long experience created specifically for middle schoolers, combining creativity, collaboration, and community exploration. Each day, campers meet with local leaders, visit organizations, and dive into big questions about how they can make an impact. It’s a camp that empowers middle schoolers to think critically, dream boldly, and take action—right now.

For Andrew’s mom, Lisa, finding Camp What If was a game-changer. “It’s hard to find things for this age,” she shared. “Having a week of camp devoted to middle school was amazing—I wish there was one every week to fill the summer!”

Andrew’s Impact at Camp

Andrew quickly became a standout participant. Known for his focus and kindness, he worked hard on his project idea, staying dedicated even when his team faced challenges.

Adventure Curator Rob described Andrew as the MVP of his group. “Andrew’s public speaking skills were incredible—he pitched his idea with confidence and clarity that wowed everyone,” Rob shared.

Whether leading discussions or absorbing wisdom from guest speakers, Andrew consistently impressed those around him. His curiosity and determination left a lasting mark on his peers and the program.

“Andrew taught me things I didn’t know – it brought the community into our home.”

Bringing the Community Home

“At home, I could feel Andrew’s engagement,” Lisa reflected. “He’d come back each day eager to share stories about the places he visited and the people he met. He taught me things I didn’t know—I could feel the community coming into our house.”

For Lisa, watching her son connect so deeply to his community was transformative. “Middle schoolers have great things to say, and having ideas for the city come from them is amazing. We should support that as much as possible.”
