CAMP WHAT IF @HOME

CAMP WHAT IF @ HOME -DAY 6

Welcome back to Camp What If! In week 2, we go deeper into explorations and then we let our ideas explode into the world!

Today, we explore the wild side of our community. Caring for nature is a superpower every community needs.

Today, we will explore the natural beauty of our communities – the green spaces, the wild spaces, and the in-between spaces.

As you dream of your big ideas, remember sometimes even improving small areas in little ways can make a HUGE impact.

Your mission today is to find your wild side and unlock your green superpowers.

Check out today’s Adventure Plan and  join us on the video call!

BIG QUESTION OF THE DAY

What is the most important place in your community to you?

What if… you created a new, unique outdoor place in your community?

CAMP WHAT IF PLEDGE

I will be curious because curiosity opens windows. I will ask questions!

I will be a co-hero.  Together, we will be co-learners, co-explorers, and co-creators. I promise not to follow the counselor’s lead! I will follow my imagination!

I will give respect. I will respect people, technology, myself and our ideas!

I will engage my “What if…” powers. This week, I will SQUINT. I will not SQUELCH!

CAMP WHAT IF FEUD

On Friday, you shared your ideas and thoughts about your community.

Today, we challenge your camp to compete with all our other camps in a game of Middle School Trivia Feud

Hero Challenge #1 – Clutter Collage

Your first mission is to find representations of the things that you think are cluttering your life (literally or figuratively). Is it possible for things to go back to normal? Should we? What are things that were a part of your life that were cluttering your time that you don’t want to bring back?

Show us what this looks like to you with a list, a garbage bag of what you chose, or an art piece representing how you envision your life changing.

Need some inspiration?

Hero Challenge #2 – Animal Enclosure Design

Your challenge is create a creative home for an animal so they can rest, play, and live well!

After choosing your animal, design the perfect enclosure for your animal, taking into account it’s various needs. Use anything you have to create 3-d home for an animal.
