Joel Daniel Harris

Founded August 2012

What you love about middle school students:

“Middle school students live in this prime real estate at the intersection of intellectual ability, imaginative capacity, and passionate energy. There is no group of more awkward, more lovable people on the planet, and none that I could be more excited about partnering with.”

Adult who had the most impact on JDH as a middle school student:

Todd Larson was JDH’s middle school youth pastor. He hit half-court shots with ease, was the most laid back leader you could imagine, and would listen for hours when JDH crashed his office after school every week.

Favorite hobbies:

JDH loves all things outdoors. He can be found backpacking across Pennsylvania, canoeing Algonquin Provincial Parkclimbing Seneca Rocks in West Virginia, or hiking trails locally in NE Ohio.

Family:

Married December 2012 to the wonderful, beautiful, fabulous Joy and father to Everett Jeanette, born December 2014.

Second, Joy gets the chance to help a family who she dearly loves by providing regular childcare.

By night…

when Joy is not working, she is an avid Family Feud player, as well as a consumer of all things food and a lover of sleep.

Celebrity crush in middle school…

Chad Michael Murray, Usher, and Beyonce. Is she right or is she right?

What Joy loves about middle school students…

Joy loves the goofiness and the way that they can see and say things so profoundly with seemingly no effort. Their eyes are open.

Favorite hobbies…

Exploring the outdoors, traveling around the world with Joel, eating awesome food, reading, learning about Canton, hanging out with her friends (the activity itself is a far second to the people Joy’s with).
